Everton midfielder ‘satisfied’ with new signing after trial
Everton midfielder Victor Anichebe has been named the new Everton and United midfielder of the season.
A total of 17 Premier League players are in contention for the player of the year award and the 24-year-old Anichebes name will not be a surprise to those who know him from his time at Everton.
“I’m very happy to be here,” said the Argentinean.
“It’s very special and I’m happy to play here and hopefully do well in this competition.”
It’s an honour to be a member of a club like Everton and to win trophies here.
“The Argentina international, who is the son of Argentina’s legendary midfielder, Marcelo Anichebec, will also join the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Real Madrid in the prestigious award.”

The 24-time capped international has been a consistent performer for Everton since his debut season in 2016, and will be a key figure in the team as it continues its quest for a top-four finish.
“Victor is a player who can really contribute to Everton and his versatility makes him a good addition,” said Malky Mackay.
“We know he has an amazing potential, but we also know that he has a great personality and we’re confident he can bring that to this club.”
A regular in the Everton first team, the Argentina international scored five goals in 31 Premier League appearances last season, including three in the FA Cup, helping the club to a third-place finish in the table.
Victor will join fellow Argentineis, Mario Mandzukic, Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Vidic and Kevin Mirallas in the first team.
He will also provide competition for Everton’s other midfielders, with Romelus Lukaku also set to leave the club this summer, while Marcos Rojo and Phil Jagielka are also on their way out.
